The reason why you haven't heard about this is that I dropped support/lost interest in this app the current version is already a hybrid app (using ionic) and is just a nice wrapper for a service I'm still hosting called OpenSpotMap http://openspotmap.herokuapp.com/api/v0/spots if you are interested reviving this app, feel free to do so. I can also grant you access on the source code.
