Nakatomi Space - AKA Parkour?

Zachary Cohn of the APK Alliance recently stumbled across Bldgblog, a blog based around Architectural Conjecture, Urban Speculation, and landscape Futures and is written by Geoff Manaugh. Geoff suggests that the original Die Hard movie was an architectural thriller. (http://bldgblog.blogspot.com/2010/01/nakatomi-space.html) In the movie, John McClane moves through a Los Angeles high-rise in basically every conceivable way but passing through its doors and hallways... McClane explores the tower—called Nakatomi Plaza—via elevator shafts and air ducts, crashing through windows from the outside-in and shooting open the locks of rooftop doorways. If there is not a corridor, he makes one; if there is not an opening, there will be soon. In a way, isn't this is the mindset of Parkour? If we're all about efficiency, isn't efficiency sometimes subtly and steathily? Finding your own path through a building to avoid detection! Why not personally infest the spaces around you?
